For the first time in Canada, the Brazilian singer-songwriter Dudu Nobre is touring in North America, and he performed at The Opera House in Toronto on March 27th.  Dudu was raised in the birthplace of Samba, and he has more than 20 years of a music career.  During his career, he has already been partners with great samba singers such as Beth Carvalho, Arlindo Cruz, and Zeca Pagodinho. Grupo Fundo de Quintal or simply Fundo de Quintal is a Brazilian Samba band formed in Rio De Janeiro at the end of the 1970s. Also, they are the most awarded and respected Samba group in the history of Brazilian popular music and they had a single presentation in Toronto, in May, 2019. Dona Jandira is a singer and songwriter from Brazil. In 2016, Dona Jandira was invited to participate at Exib Music Festival, in Evora, Portugal. 

Velha Guarda da Portela is the most traditional samba group in Brazil. Considering the Buena Social Club of the Samba, the VGP participated in the Europalia in October 2011 with concerts in Brussels, Antwerp, Vallenciene and Amsterdam.
